WATER BODIES MAINTANENCE
Pond Dredging:
Pudhiya Thalaimurai Television had teamed up with a team “Nammaal Mudiyum Kuzhu” activities such as dredging ponds, clearing streams, and setting up mini forests for birds in the middle of a lake.
Jedhah Tamil Sangam, with the help of Krishnapriya Foundation Chennai, dug two ponds at Adiyakkamangalam village and Harichandrapuram village in Thiruvarur district.
NAIL PLUCKING:
Various companies place their company billboards on shady trees planted along the roadside, affecting the strength of the trees and shortening their lifespan. In view of this, the work of removing the nails driven into the roadside trees in and around Thiruvarur is being carried out by VANAM Volunteers.
It is also raising awareness about this and advising the concerned companies to contact them on the phone and get rid of them.
