Make a Beginning: Our STORY
Mayiladuthurai, passionately called as "Historic Town" with its remarkable temples and pleasent climate through out the year. With the rapid development of the city and rise in the Industry notifies the formation of 38th district in TamilNadu.
Vanam the name refers Forest, was originated and constituted by Mr.M. Kalaimani in Mayiladuthurai. A professional, who is passionate in planting trees and tree lover created a milestone "VANAM- VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION FOR NATURE AND AGRICULTURE MANAGEMENT" in 2017.
About the Author:
M.Kalaimani completed his Master of Science in Wild life Biology at AVC College, Mannampandal, Mayiladuthurai, Tamilnadu. During his study he started Tree plantation in their College Campus. Later Mr. Kalaimani continued his service as Nehru Yuva Kendra National Service Volunteer in the Nagapattinam District.
In 2004 soon after Tsunami, when the reconstruction works started he worked with Nehru Yuva Kendra to planted number of Trees in the Coastal villages of Nagapattinam.
Then 2005 he joined in the Tamilnadu Poverty Reduction and Employment project nam "Tamil Nadu PudhuVaazhvu Project" supported by The World Bank as Livelihood Facilitator then due course he promoted as Assistant Project Manager (Livelihoods).
But his service to the environment continued personally with his own contribution and few donations from individuals. THE TAMILNADU CRUSADER WHO HAS PLANTED 1.3 LAKH OF TREES in 20 Years!!

The Organisation VANAM emerged after so many thoughts process and suggestions of the well-wishers to initiate an exclusive organization to continue the efforts in a larger scale with specific and general objectives focused on Environment and Service sector.
The objective of VANAM is to create a small forests by taking initiate of planting small plants that creates an awareness to know the importance of environment and drive people to participate in the VANAM campaign .
