INDIGENOUS SPECIES NURSERY

Distribution of Free Saplings:

A nursery run by VANAM. Indigenous trees species seeds are collected from various parts of Tamil Nadu and produced as saplings. These saplings are being gifted to school and college students interested in tree planting and to the general public for safe growing. Saplings are not provided here for weddings and other events. The safety and growth of gifted saplings guaranteed.

Seed Exhibition:

The seeds of various species of native trees are collected and displayed under the scientific name of those trees at major events frequented by school, college and the general public. It stimulates visitors to identify different types of seeds, collect them and produce saplings. Visitors to the exhibition are provided with leaflets and advice containing information on techniques for producing seedlings from seeds.
